Exhibit designers take into consideration their clients’ goals, objectives, and ideas. For a camping gear trade show, the objective may be to show off the latest tents and other related equipment. For a natural history museum, the aim may be to present the evolution of humankind. Regardless of the type of display, designers must have a good understanding of the subject matter

They work in offices using computers to create designing, and sketching.

Exhibit designers set up their displays wherever goods or services are being shown. The work is not usually physically demanding. However, exhibit designers work to meet deadlines. This can be stressful, especially for those involved in trade shows, where deadlines are tighter and there is a lot of pressure. In addition, there may be some frustration when clients or employers reject design ideas. Exhibit designers usually work a 40-hour week. However, some overtime may be required to finish displays. Freelance designers may travel to different towns and cities to set up displays.

A: The opportunities this person says to get into this career are, You have to be confident in your work and be an effective networker. Go to “jam sessions” at established venues; show your passion for music and your willingness to learn and grow. When possible, get an ensemble together and rehearse. This industry is very relationship based. So you have to build your contact base and play wherever you can. Being good helps too.
